Call for papers
The fossil energy resources are limited. Renewable energy seems to be an alternative. Various field and tree crops are suitable to be cultivated as a source for production of bio energy. Many conferences deal with technical aspects of bio gas, bio ethanol or bio diesel production and the set up of block heat and power plants to produce electricity as well as heat. The necessity to grow crops with specific quality parameters for feeding these plants is often overlooked. The International Potash Institute in cooperation with Corvinus University of Budapest intends to arrange an international symposium on nutrient management and nutrient demand of energy plants.

The main topics of the symposium will be addressed in four sessions:

  1. New and traditional crops for bio energy
  2. Quality requirement of crops for bio energy
  3. Optimal crop rotation and nutrient balance for bio energy plants
  4. Energy and CO2 balance of crops grown for bio energy

Each session will be opened by a keynote speaker, followed by thematically corresponding lectures of 20 minutes. Besides the regular paper presentations we plan to have a poster session on the themes of the symposium. Only papers and posters in English are accepted.
