On Wednesday, 8th July 2009 an excursion will be offered with visits related
to the topic of the conference. The excursion is also a part of the registration
fee. The programme comprises transportation with comfortable coaches, supper at a typical Hungarian winery, soft drinks during the journey and all visits. Please
click the box at the online registration to notice that you are interested to
take part in the excursion.
The excursion programme will go to Szekszárd, which is the capital of Tolna
county and lays at the meeting point of Great Plain and the Transdanubian Hill.
It is 140 km from the capital. Szekszárd is traditionally a market town. The
agriculture focuses mainly on viticulture, making Szekszárd region a well-known
wine-country. In the morning a visit to a bio ethanol plant in Sárosd is planned, followed by a visit to a bio gas plant in Pálhalma. A snack lunch is served at a fruit juice factory with wood heating system. Afterwards, we will inspect two sites with willow and poplar cropping and see a collection of different Hungarian varienties of arable crops. A supper including a wine tasting of the famous wines from the Szekszárd region will finish the day, before we will return back to Budapest.

The banquet will be held on board of Millennium II.
boat, cruising on the
river Danube from where you will be able to admire the night lights of
the capital city. Complete dinner and entertainment will be provided.
The banquet is included in the registration fee.

Participants are kindly requested to get to the pier on their own. It is only
2 metro stops (from Déli pu. to Batthyány tér, about 15 minutes). Departure from
pier "Szilágyi Dezső tér", meeting point at the pier at 18:45.
